How to Flame Yellow Bougainvillea Plant
Simple Steps for Successful Plantation & Healthy Growth
Step 1: Unpack Carefully
Remove the plant gently from the box. Do not pull the plant by the stem.
Step 2: Keep in Shade
Place the plant in a bright shaded area for 1–2 days to recover from transit stress.
Step 3: Choose the Right Pot
Use a medium-size pot with proper drainage holes. Bougainvillea does not like waterlogging.
Step 4: Prepare Soil Mix
Use well-draining soil: garden soil + compost + sand/cocopeat. Keep the soil loose and airy.
Step 5: Transplant Gently
Take the plant with its root ball and place it in the new pot. Do not break the roots.
Step 6: Water Lightly
After planting, water lightly. Do not overwater. Water again only when the top soil feels dry.
Step 7: Give Sunlight
After 2–3 days, move the plant to a sunny place. It needs 6–8 hours of direct sunlight for best flowering.
Step 8: Regular Care
Prune lightly after flowering and feed with flowering fertilizer once every 3–4 weeks for healthy growth and more blooms.
