Grow Beautiful Blooms with Ease
Simple Nerine Lily Bulb Plantation Guide
Step 1 – Choose the Right Pot
Use a pot with drainage holes, at least 8–10 inches deep, or plant directly in well-drained garden soil.
Step 2 – Prepare the Soil
Fill the pot with a well-draining soil mix made of garden soil, compost, and sand or perlite. Avoid heavy, waterlogged soil.
Step 3 – Plant the Bulbs
Place the bulbs with the pointed end facing upward. Plant them 8–10 cm deep, leaving the neck of the bulb slightly above the soil if preferred.
Step 4 – Maintain Proper Spacing
Keep 10–15 cm distance between each bulb to allow healthy root growth and better flowering.
Step 5 – Water After Planting
Water thoroughly after planting. Afterwards, water only when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Do not overwater.
Step 6 – Provide Sunlight
Place the pot in a location that receives 4–6 hours of direct sunlight or bright indirect light every day.
Step 7 – Feed the Plant
Apply a balanced flowering fertilizer once every 3–4 weeks during the growing season to encourage healthy blooms.
Step 8 – Enjoy the Blooms
With proper care, your Nerine lilies will produce beautiful mixed-colour flowers during the blooming season.
